Is one of the largest municipalities in Quebec, carried by its history and engraved with a beautifully rich legacy represented by the cushing sector and the old Brownsburg village. Its development is mainly due to 3 industries; wood, minerals and explosives. Sprinkled with mountains, lakes and rivers, the area is very favourable to outdoor activities, notably the camp ground (municipal camping of over 200 sites), cross-country skiing (La Randonnée center), (l'Oasis International, Carling Lake) golf courses and of course for the biking enthusiasts there's the (Green Route). One of the most curious sites to see and taste is most certainly the  Saint-Monastère Vierge Marie la consolatrice, a retreat and cult area, renowned for its cheese. Brownsburg-Chatham is pumped with pride of its assets and the people who make it their nest are also very proud.
